Bobal

Bobal is a thick-skinned Spanish red grape from the Utiel-Requena region near Valencia, valued for its deep color, high acidity, and firm tannins — the drying, gripping sensation on your tongue. It was historically used for cheap bulk wine, but a new generation of producers is now coaxing more serious, age-worthy reds from old, low-yielding vines.
