Lebanon has one of the world's oldest winemaking traditions, stretching back thousands of years, and its Mediterranean climate and high-altitude vineyards, especially in the Beqaa Valley, remain the backbone of the country's wine industry today.

Beqaa Valley
The Beqaa Valley, at roughly 1,000 meters elevation, produces the bulk of Lebanon's wine and has a winemaking history stretching back some 6,000 years. Its climate of wet winters and sunny summers is well suited to vineyards, and the valley is home to storied producers like Château Musar and Château Ksara.
