Montagne de Reims is a Champagne subregion centered on the wooded plateau between Reims and Épernay, home to nine of the region's Grand Cru villages. Its chalky soils and cooler exposures make it the heartland of Pinot Noir within Champagne, contributing structure and body to Champagne blends.
