Vallée de la Marne is a Champagne sub-region running along the Marne river, marked by more variable soils than its neighbors and just two grand cru villages. Unlike the Chardonnay-dominated Côte des Blancs, it is defined by Pinot Meunier, which makes up roughly 59% of plantings, alongside smaller amounts of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay.
