Greco

White wine Campania

Greco is a white grape of ancient Greek origin grown mainly in Campania, southern Italy, where it makes the textured, mineral-driven wine Greco di Tufo. Its wines tend to have real body and structure for a white, with orchard-fruit flavors and herbal, green notes that gain depth with age. A separate, more rustic sweet dessert wine called Greco di Bianco is also made in Calabria from partially dried grapes.

Also known as Greco Biondello, Greco di Tufo, Grieco.
