Marsanne is a white grape from France's northern Rhône Valley that makes rich, full-bodied wines with a nutty, honeyed texture. Young Marsanne shows white peach and pear, developing deeper spice and quince notes as it ages; it's often blended with the more aromatic Roussanne to add lift.
Also known as Ermitage, Ermitage Blanc, Grosse Roussette, Johannisberg, White Hermitage.
