Verdicchio

White wine Abruzzo

Verdicchio is a pale, high-acid white grape from Italy's Marche region, prized for the subtlety of its lemon and faintly bitter-almond flavors. That bright acidity and understated character make it an easy match for a wide range of dishes, especially seafood. Besides still wine, it's also made into sparkling (spumante) and occasional sweet "passito" styles from dried grapes.

Also known as Trebbiano di Lugana, Trebbiano di Soave.
