Fiano

White wine Campania

Fiano is an ancient white grape from Campania in southern Italy, best known through Fiano di Avellino, a wine that starts out floral and honeyed in youth and develops nutty, spicy complexity with age. Thick-skinned and low-yielding, the grape gives wines real weight and texture on the palate compared to many lighter Italian whites. It's considered one of Italy's most age-worthy white varieties.

Also known as Apiana, Latina Bianca, Minutolo.
