Grillo

Grillo is a Sicilian white grape that thrives in intense heat, historically prized as a backbone of fortified Marsala wine. In recent decades it's been reborn as a still varietal white, giving richer, higher-alcohol wines with citrus and herbal character than many other Sicilian whites.

Also known as Riddu, Rossese Bianco.
