Aligoté

White wine Bakhmut

Aligoté is Burgundy's lesser-known white grape, overshadowed by Chardonnay but valued for its zippy, high acidity and apple-and-lemon character. It's traditionally the base of the Kir cocktail, where a splash of blackcurrant liqueur softens its natural tartness.

Also known as Blanc de Troyes, Plant gris, Vert blanc.
