Moschofilero

Pink/gris wine Greece

Moschofilero is a Greek grape with striking pink-grey skin that's usually pressed gently to make pale, delicate white wine, though rosé and sparkling versions exist too. It's highly aromatic, with a perfumed rose-petal and spice character similar to Muscat, balanced by refreshing acidity. It's grown mainly in the cool, mountainous Mantineia region of the Peloponnese.

Also known as Fileri Tripoleos, Moschophilero.
