Trousseau

Red wine Jura

Trousseau is a specialty of the Jura region in eastern France, and the same grape appears in Portugal under the name Bastardo. It produces deep cherry-red wines with notably high alcohol and bright, almost tart acidity, layered with red berry fruit and a distinctive savory, earthy edge.

Also known as Bastardo, Merenzao.
