Verduzzo

White wine Friuli-Venezia Giulia

Verduzzo is a white grape from Friuli in northeastern Italy, made in two very different styles from the same vine. Vinified dry it's a lighter, slightly firm white with a chalky edge, but its real fame comes from Ramandolo, a golden dessert wine made by leaving the thick-skinned grapes to concentrate on the vine, giving honeyed richness balanced by a lively streak of acidity.

Also known as Verduc, Verduz, Verduzzo Friulano, Verduzzo Giallo.
