Barbaresco

Nebbiolo is the noble grape behind Barolo and Barbaresco, Italy's most prestigious age-worthy reds. Despite producing pale, brick-colored wines, it's deceptively powerful, with some of the highest tannin and acidity levels of any red grape, requiring years of bottle aging to soften. Its signature aroma profile — often described as 'tar and roses' — combines dried cherry, violet, and earthy, savory notes.
