Vermentino

White wine Corsican wine

Vermentino is a coastal Mediterranean white grape grown across Sardinia, Liguria, Tuscany, and southern France, prized for its crisp acidity and refreshing citrus and herbal character. It typically makes light, unoaked wine with a subtle saline, almost sea-breeze quality that reflects its seaside vineyards. The same grape is sold under different names depending on the region, including Pigato in Liguria and Favorita in Piedmont.

Also known as Favorita, Pigato, Rolle.
